can FMS 3.5 interactive server connect to another FMS3.5 interactive server?

NetConnection.connect()

Connects to another Flash Media Server or to a Flash Remoting server such as Adobe ColdFusion.

I cannot seem to get FMIS to connect to another FMIS if both have the same application name.

If i change the application name on the server that i am connecting to, it will connect fine.
.
But if i have both the "hub" and "node" servers using the same Application.name i get connection rejected.

Not yet, I just had to rename my hub application and it's working.

That is weird. Which version of FMS were you using? what is the protocol you were using in the connection uri?

FMIS 3.5.3 using RTMP protocol..

I just checked with FMS 3.5.3 r824 build in WIndows. It worked for me. I hope u have the same version. which platform?
can u pls give me the application name which you had used?

im using linux.

it works if i connect them on the localhost but not remotely.
.
application name is test
.
instance name is test

Sorry I could not reproduce this at my end :(
ideally it should work. Nothing to do with windows or linux
