FMIS 3.5, FMS3.0 and MP4
02/16/10 2:41 AM

Hello,

I am developing a very simple VOD player for a client. I am developing on FMIS 3.5, he has FMS 3.0.

The problem is MP4 files. On my system, the play fine, but on his they don't. FLV files are not a problem. Is there something special about FMS 3.0 I should know when it comes to playing MP4 files?

take care,
lee

i could be wrong, but i think the filenames need to be in <mp4:filename.mp4> format in the playlist.

i remember reading something about this while setting up my own VOD.

Hi Lee,
What is the error that you get when you play the mp4 file in your FMS 3.0?

Hello,

Thanks for the response. However, we got it sorted out. Turned out he just needed an update for 3.0 to play MP4's.

take care,
